skeeball and pop-a-shot

Forgot to mention I am currently on vacation at the beach. Windy but sunny days at the beach, and icy cold water. But a bad day at the beach beats a good day at work anytime! Hit the arcades - favorites are skeeball, pop-a-shot bball, and Police Trainer. Took a nature hike today, then a long beach walk.

Comics are part of the vacation too-- got the Moon Knight 19 at a nostalgia shop on the boardwalk. There are bikini army fights within. I thought it would be an interesting comparison to Finch's current run.

Some other things...

I bought that very issue of MOON KNIGHT as a child, while on holiday at the beach. Woah, spooky!

I went to pick up the latest issue of DMZ yesterday, but it was already sold out. Gah! Also, really loving the Dead @17 series. They are going to put out a complete set in December. I gotta get one of those.

That's some weird co-inky-dink there Mark!
Phillygirl small con this sunday!

At the beach, I have read 52 week 8 and 9; Omac 1; Moon Knight ; The all new atom;Grimm Fairy Tales;Marvel Team Up 21; Invincible 33; Amazing Spidey. Besides for my pull list at the store, I'm almost caught up. Still like 52, Invincible was good; and while a bit on the salacious side, Grimm Fairy Tales was good also. Off to a big seafood dinner now!

Mark has an idea. Should start a poll about what issues you bought on vacation. I think I might do that. Hope you are still enjoying your vacation, Red.

You may have begun with the wrong issue of MOON KNIGHT's first series. As I recall, that was aprt of a four-part story arc. Doug Moench wrote mostly self-contained stories -- especially after Moon Knight became a direct-sales only title and the page count expanded.

My favorite was an EXTRA thick 25th issue. I think the villain patterned himself after MOON KNIGHT, called himself something like Black Spectre. Very pulp-like, film noirish storyt-telling, especially with Bill Sienkiewicz's artwork. A friend said the narration reminded him of the old EC Comics.
